Gold prices surge again: Increase of Rs 2,100 in 2 days

Kathmandu, November 19

Gold prices have been on the rise over the past two days.

On Sunday, the price of gold stood at Rs 160,000 per tola. It increased by Rs 1,000 on Monday and climbed further by Rs 1,100 today, reaching Rs 162,100 per tola.

The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association attributed the rise in gold prices to the upward trend in the international market. Previously, on October 31, gold had reached an all-time high of Rs 171,000 per tola. Since then, it had steadily declined, dropping to Rs 160,000 by Sunday.

Silver prices have also increased today. From Rs 1,920 per tola on Monday, silver rose to Rs 1,955 per tola.
