Leopard attack injures 5 on Kathmandu outskirts

Kathmandu, July 14

Five persons of the same family have been injured in a leopard attack in Bhimdhunga, Nagarjun municipality-8, on the northern outskirts of Kathmandu.

A leopard had entered the house of Pancha Kumar Bhattarai (49), a resident of local Harsankhola, last night. The attack resulted in injuries on various body parts of the family members.

The injured members of the Bhattarai family are undergoing treatment at Manmohan Hospital.

Leopards from nearby forest areas frequently come to human settlements in the suburbs of the Kathmandu valley.
