Birgunj, April 14
One man died in a road accident in the Bara district of Madhesh in southern Nepal on Thursday morning. Other 13 people have sustained injuries.
DSP Rajesh Thapa says three of the injured are critical, hinting the death toll may rise.
The injured have been taken to the Vayodha Hospital in Birgunj following primary treatment at the Alpine Hospital in Simara.
The victim has been identified as Lok Nath Sedhai (25), a resident of Jitpur Simara sub-metropolitan city-21 of the district. He was driving the SUV (Ba 19 Cha 4377) involved in the accident at Aadharbhar forest, Jitpur Simara-21 along the East-West Highway.
The Scorpio was on its way to Hetaunda of the neighbouring Makawanpur district from Simara of Bara. As the driver lost control over it, the vehicle turned sideways.
