Rautahat, February 9
A woman was found dead in mysterious circumstances in a wheat field in Ishnath municipality of the Rautahat district in southern Nepal on Wednesday.
The 19-year-old Chandani Khatun, a resident of Ishnath-9, was found dead in the field in Ishnath-4, SP Binod Ghimire, the chief of the District Police Office, informs. Ghimire says she might have been smothered as there was a piece of cloth in her mouth.
The teenage girl had married a man of Ishnath-7 four years ago but was still living with her parents.
“Reportedly, she had left the house last night after she received a call from her husband,” Ghimire says, “Further details will be revealed after postmortem.”
