Jhapa bike collision kills Indian national

Damak, January 19

Two motorbikes collided with each other, killing an Indian national and injuring three others, at Kechana, Kachankawal-4 of the Jhapa district in eastern Nepal on Tuesday night.

Two Indian motorbikes–BR37C 9008 and BR37E 1994–had collided yesterday, DSP Basanta Pathak, the District Police Office spokesperson informs.

Seriously injured in the accident, Sanjeev Singh died in the course of treatment. Likewise, Pradeep Ganesh (30), a resident of Kachankawal-4, and two Indians–Haran Ganesh and Mohammad Okil Miya–are injured.

It has been learned that all four of them were riding the two-wheelers under the influence of alcohol.
