NCP Dahal-Nepal faction’s Bagmati PP elects Ashta Laxmi Shakya its leader

The Dahal-Nepal faction of the Nepal Communist Party has elected Ashta Laxmi Shakya as its Bagmati provincial parliamentary party leader.

A meeting of the party’s provincial lawmakers held in Kathmandu on Wednesday elected Shakya its leader, it has been learned.

The faction has already filed a no-confidence motion against the incumbent Chief Minister Dor Mani Paudel, also the party’s parliamentary party leader who belongs to the Oli faction of the party after it split.

In the no-confidence motion, Shakya was named as Paudel’s successor.
