Baitadi, October 23
An attempt to murder case has been filed against the excavator operator who injured a woman in Baitadi on Monday.
Kishor Bohora was booked for injuring Gauri Joshi, a local of Dasharath Chand municipality and rendering her unconscious. Police inspector Kisan Chand informed that officials had sufficient evidence to charge Bohora. Chand added that Bohora was already under police control.
“We are investigating the incident after registering an attempt to murder case. The district court is also investigating the incident and has remanded Bohora for 10 more days,”he added.
Eight people were injured, two of them seriously, when Bohora allegedly attacked them in Baitadi on Monday. Video from the incident went viral on social media on Tuesday a day after the incident took place in Gwallek of Dasharath Chand Municipality-9. According to locals, the excavator driver hit some people with the ‘bucket’ of the excavator following a dispute over the construction of a local road.
