Journalist Ramesh Bhusal launched his debut book Chhalbato Kailash Dekhi Ganga Samma on Saturday at Nepal Academy, Kathmandu.

The book launch event also featured an interaction session with a political analyst Hari Sharma where Bhusal said that human actions have damaged nature and the environment.

“There are many other things besides humans on this earth, but humans are impacting all of them. Rivers are one of the resources being largely affected by human activity,” said Bhusal.

Published by Fineprint, Chhalbato chronicles Bhusal’s 45-day journey from Kathmandu to Kailash Mansarovar, tracing the path from the source of the Karnali River in Tibet to the Ganges in India.

“This book features the story of the river, Karnali’s natives, fellow travellers, river politics and river science,” Bhusal said during the event
