Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is seeking a vote of confidence for his government from the lower house of the Federal Parliament in the House meeting scheduled for 11:00 am today.
Prime Minister Dahal, who is also the Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Centre), is seeking a vote of confidence for the fifth time in the House of Representatives in 18 months.
Lately, he is taking a vote of confidence by Article 100 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal after the CPN (UML) pulled out of the government. The largest party in the HoR, the Nepali Congress, and the second largest the CPN (UML) on July 1 forged an agreement and decided to form a new government with these parties leading the government turn by turn.
