The 4G versions of the popular Redmi Note 13 have been made official. The Redmi Note 13 4G and Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G have been officially launched with major changes. The Redmi Note 13 5G is already getting a good response with the price and features in different markets which are set to launch soon in Nepal.
The Note series from Redmi is one of the most popular mid-range and budget phones. The Note 10, 11 and 12 dominated the market with the features they delivered at the price range. The 4G version of the Note series in Nepal is more popular and competes with the Samsung A series.
The Redmi Note 13 4G has few changes in dimension, chipset, glass protection, sensor, colours and price from the 5G version. Can the smartphone still get the same response as the 5G version?

Design and Display
The design of the Redmi Note 13 4G is similar to the 5G variant but more clean. The back of the smartphone is made up of plastic and has a triple camera setup. The camera module housing has been removed for a much cleaner look. The main camera and the ultra-wide camera have a bigger ring whereas the flash and the macro have a smaller ring. The flat frames and back design even though look simple make it beautiful.
On the display front, the Redmi Note 13 Pro has thin bezels on the sides and a slightly thicker bezel on the top and the chin. The bezels in the price range are very rare as most smartphone brands opt for thicker bezels. The selfie camera is placed in a hole-punch cutout which further enhances the look.
The Redmi Note 13 4G has a 6.67-inch display that uses AMOLED technology. It has a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits. The display has a contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 and a resolution is 2,400 x 1,080. It has certifications from TÜV Rheinland for Low Blue Light, Circadian Friendly, and Flicker-Free for eye comfort.
The screen of the Note 13 Pro is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for durability. It also has an IP rating of IP54 dust and splash resistance.
Performance and Storage
The Redmi Note 13 4G is powered by the Snapdragon 685 chipset, built on a 6nm manufacturing process. The octa-core CPU, consisting of 4 high-performance Cortex-A73 cores running at 2.8 GHz and 4 energy-efficient Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.9 GHz delivers a balanced performance. The graphics processing is handled by the Adreno 610 GPU for a decent gaming and visual experience. It runs on Android 13 with MIUI 14 operating system.
The Redmi Note 13 4G is available in two RAM options of 6GB and 8GB. The 6GB RAM option is paired with a single storage option of 128GB whereas the 8GB is paired with 128GB and 256GB of storage.
The 8GB RAM also has a RAM extension feature which allows users to add 8GB virtual RAM using the storage for more performance.
Camera
The Redmi Note 13 4G is equipped with a triple camera setup on the back. The main camera has a 108MP lens with a pixel size of 0.64μm. It uses a 9-in-1 pixel binning technology, resulting in a 1.92μm effective pixel size with a wide aperture of f/1.75. Accompanying the main camera is an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a field of view and a 2MP macro camera for close-up shots. The rear camera supports video recording at 1080p resolution at 30fps and 720p at 30fps.
On the front, the Redmi Note 13 4G features a 16MP selfie camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The front camera is capable of recording videos at 1080p resolution at 30fps and 720p at 30fps.
Battery and Others
The Redmi Note 13 4G is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery, providing ample power for extended usage throughout the day. When it comes to charging, it supports 33W wired fast charging.
For connectivity, it features Wi-Fi support with 802.11a/b/g/n/ac standards for connection to wireless networks and Bluetooth 5.1 for pairing with other compatible devices.
In terms of audio, the Redmi Note 13 4G has dual speakers and supports Dolby Atmos® and also has a 3.5mm headphone jack, enhancing the audio experience. The smartphone is a dual SIM device, allowing users to use two SIM cards simultaneously.
The hybrid SIM slot also accommodates a microSD card for expandable storage, providing additional space for photos, videos, and apps. It is equipped with a variety of sensors, including a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, electronic compass, IR blaster, gyroscope, and an in-screen fingerprint sensor.
The Redmi Note 13 4G is available in four colour options which include; Midnight Black, Mint Green, Ice Blue and Ocean Sunset.
The Redmi Note 13 is expected to cost Rs 24,000 for the 6/128GB option, Rs 26,000 for the 8/128GB option and Rs 28,000 for the 8/256GB option when it is released in Nepal.
