Vivo has launched its flagship models, the Vivo X100 and the Vivo X100 Pro. The two flagship smartphones are the first to house the new MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset. Vivo’s flagship series is highly popular in Chinese markets due to its impressive price-to-feature ratio. The smartphones are the successor of the Vivo X90 Pro and the X90.
The X100 and the X100 Pro share striking similarities, differing mainly in aspects such as thickness, weight, the presence of a telephoto lens, and variations in battery and charging options as both flagship smartphones offer excellent value for money.

Design and Display
The design of the Vivo X100 Pro is very similar to its predecessor, the Vivo X90 Pro. The main difference can be seen in the camera module, where inside the circular camera module of the X90 Pro, the camera sensors are arranged in a square shape. In contrast, the camera sensors on the X100 Pro are arranged in a kite shape. The thin metallic line is also removed now and has a cleaner look.
The smartphone is available in four different colour options, black, blue, white and orange. The black and white colour options have a matte and shiny clean finish whereas the star trail inspires the blue colour option and has a circular star trail-like pattern with a glossy finish. The orange colour option has an eco-leather back with a waves-like pattern inspired by the sun’s rays striking the water’s surface.
The display of the X100 Pro has curved edges with minimum bezels on the sides. It features a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a screen ratio of 20:9 and a 93 per cent screen-to-body ratio. The resolution stands at 2,800 x 1,260 and 1.07 billion colours. It has a 100 per cent DCI-P3 colour gamut and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It also has IP68 dust and water resistance.
Performance and Storage
The Vivo X100 Pro debuts the e flagship chipset from MediaTek, the MediaTek Dimensity 9300. The chipset is the most powerful MediaTek chipset to date which is built on a 4nm architecture. Its octa-core CPU includes a powerful Cortex-X4 clocked at 3.25 GHz, along with three Cortex-X4 cores at 2.85 GHz and four Cortex-A720 cores at 2.0 GHz. It is equipped with the Immortal-G720 GPU, for graphics processing and handling. As for the operating system, it runs on Funtouch 14 for international markets and OriginOS 4 for China, which is based on Android 14.
As for memory, it has two RAM options of 12 GB and 16 GB. For storage, the 12 GB RAM option is paired with a 256 GB storage option whereas the 16 GB RAM option is paired with the 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB storage options.
Camera
The Vivo X100 Pro features a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP one-inch main camera with an f/1.75 aperture, a 50MP Zeiss APO telephoto camera with an f/2.5 aperture, and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera with an f/2.0 aperture offering a wide range of view which are equipped with CMOS sensors.
Both the main and telephoto cameras boast OIS anti-shake technology, while all cameras support autofocus for precise and clear shots. The telephoto camera provides 4.3x optical zoom, while both the main and telephoto cameras support 100x digital zoom.
As for the features the rear camera includes snapshots, night scenes, portraits, photos, videos, micro movies, high pixel, panorama, ultra-clear documents, slow motion, time-lapse photography, slow time, super moon, starry sky, style and architecture, professional, Jovi scanning, food, multi-camera, dynamic photos, movie portraits and MP4. For video shooting, the rear camera supports up to 8K video shooting and up to 1,080p slow-motion video shooting.
The front camera boasts a 32 MP camera with f/2.0 aperture. The front camera has features such as night scene, portrait, photo, video, micro movie, multi-camera, dynamic photo and movie portrait. For video, it supports shooting up to 1,080p at 30fps.
Battery and Others
The Vivo X100 Pro has a 5,400mAh battery. As for charging the smartphone supports 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. It also offers reverse wired charging. Even though it supports 100W fast wired charging, the smartphone in the box comes with a 120W power brick.
As for the connectivity options, it supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6/7 across tri-bands, for fast and reliable internet access. For wireless connectivity with other supporting devices, it has Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity.
For audio, It has dual stereo speakers for excellent audio experience. The device supports dual SIM cards. As for sensors, it includes a lot of them like an in-display fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, gyro, electronic compass, front colour temperature sensor, laser focus sensor, and an infrared remote control.
It is available in Black, White, Blue, and Orange colour options. The orange colour has an eco-leather back whereas the rest of the colours have a glass back.
