Nepal Oil Corporation has announced a reduction in the prices of diesel and kerosene by Rs 4 per litre.

The corporation’s spokesperson, Manoj Kumar Thakur, stated that the decision to lower the diesel price was made following the updated rates provided by the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). This adjustment will take effect from 1 am on Wednesday.

As per the decision of the NOC’s management, the price of diesel has been decreased while adhering to the automatic price adjustment procedure said Thakur.

“The price for diesel and kerosene in the Kathmandu valley is now set at Rs 164 per litre,” said Thakur.

The corporation has confirmed that the prices of petrol and cooking gas will remain unchanged, aligning with the government’s policy of avoiding consumer price hikes in anticipation of major festivals.
