Xiaomi has unveiled the T models of the Xiaomi 13 series, the Xiaomi 13T Pro and the Xiaomi 13T. The Xiaomi T series is usually launched in the second half of the year, following the release of the flagship series at the start of the year. The T series are the mid-range variants of the flagship models.
The Xiaomi 13T Pro is the successor of last year’s Xiaomi 12T Pro. There are many differences like camera, IP rating and display. Let us see what the smartphone offers.

Design and display
The Xiaomi 13T Pro shares a similar design language to the flagship 13 Pro. It has two options in terms of build, Glass and Vegan Leather. The Vegan leather option is a bit thicker than the Glass options and weighs less. The frame is made of aluminium and curved at the back. The curved edges on the sides help to hold the phone properly.
On the front, the display is flat and not curved. The display has a centred hole punch cutout which houses the selfie camera. There is a speaker above the selfie camera too. The bezels on the sides are quite thin and the chip and the top a slightly thick.
The Xiaomi 13T Pro features a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen that has an FHD+ resolution of 2,712 x 1,220, providing 446 pixels per inch (ppi). The refresh rate of up to 144Hz provides a seamless experience. The touch sampling rate can reach up to 480Hz, ensuring responsive touch controls. With a peak brightness of 2,600 nits and a 16,000-level brightness adjustment, the display offers good visibility in low-light conditions.
Furthermore, it supports advanced display technologies like Pro HDR, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+, showcasing a wide colour gamut of 68 billion colours. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and incorporates features like Adaptive Reading Mode, Sunlight Mode, 2,880Hz PWM dimming and eye comfort. It also has IP68 dust and water resistance which is a huge upgrade from last year’s 12T Pro which has IP53, dust and splash resistant.
Performance and storage
The Xiaomi 13T Pro is powered by the flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9,200+ chipset built on a 4nm architecture. The CPU configuration comprises a high-performing Arm Cortex-X3 core, clocked at up to 3.35GHz, supported by three Arm Cortex-A715 cores running at up to 3.0GHz, and four Arm Cortex-A510 cores with speeds of up to 2.0GHz. In terms of graphics, the device features the Arm Immortalis-G715 GPU. The Xiaomi 13T Pro runs on MIUI 14, based on Android 13.
The Xiaomi 13T Pro is equipped with an efficient cooling system incorporating LiquidCool Technology. This advanced cooling system utilises a combination of a 5,000 mm2 stainless steel vapour chamber (VC) and multi-layer graphite sheets.
The Xiaomi 13T Pro has an LPDDR5X RAM with options of 12 GB and 16 GB. It has three UFS 4.0 storage options 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB.
Camera
The Xiaomi 13T Pro showcases a triple rear camera setup. The main camera is a 50MP sensor with a 1/1.28” size and 1.22μm pixel size. It mimics a 24mm equivalent focal length and a wide f/1.9 aperture, supported by optical image stabilization (OIS) for steady captures.
The telephoto camera is 50MP, featuring a 1/2.88” sensor and 0.61μm pixel size, offering a 50mm equivalent focal length at f/1.95. It supports up to 20x digital zoom. The ultra-wide camera captures at 12MP, with a 1/3.06″ sensor size and 1.12µm pixel size, offering a 15mm equivalent focal length at f/2.2.
The rear camera system presents a range of Leica photographic styles, filters, and features such as ProFocus, ProCut, Ultra Night Photo, HDR, and up to 20x digital zoom. It supports various video recording resolutions, including remarkable 8K video at 24fps, 4K at 24, 30, or 60fps, HDR video recording, and 10-bit Log video recording. Additionally, features like steady video, movie frame, and slow-motion video are also available.
On the front, the Xiaomi 13T Pro has a 20MP front camera with an f/2.2 aperture, 0.8μm pixel size, and a 78° field of view. It has photography features like Night mode, HDR, Portrait mode, and more. Video recording capabilities include HDR video recording at 1,080p and 720p, alongside features like teleprompter and slow-motion video.
Battery and others
The Xiaomi 13T Pro is powered by a robust 5000mAh battery. It supports rapid 120W wired charging which charges the phone from 0-100 per cent in less than 20 minutes. For connectivity, the device offers Dual SIM functionality (nano SIM + nano SIM or nano SIM + eSIM). The phone is equipped with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6e/7 technology, offering tri-band support for enhanced connectivity. Bluetooth 5.4 is included for seamless wireless communication.
The audio experience is enriched with dual speakers and Dolby Atmos support. It has various sensors like the proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, electronic compass, linear motor, IR blaster, flicker sensor, and colour sensor to enhance the device’s functionality. As for the expected pricing in Nepal, the 12GB/256GB variant is anticipated to be priced at Rs 120,000.
