Nepalis in Israel have called on the government to rescue them from the country after a few were injured in the attacks instigated by the Palestinian militant group Hamas on Saturday.

Nepalis in Israel are currently taking refuge in bunkers due to frequent bombings. They have appealed to the government to rescue them as soon as possible.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said a farm, where 14 Nepalis were working, was also under attack. Nine of the Nepalis have been reportedly injured while two of them are in serious condition.

Suraj Bhandari, a Nepali student pursuing studies in agriculture and employment, informed Onlinekhabar that the Palestinian rebel group initiated attacks on Israel at 6 am on Saturday morning.

There are roughly 4,500 Nepalis in Israel.

“We are waiting to be rescued,” said Yunid Dhakal.

On Sunday, Foreign Minister NP Saud held a meeting with the Israeli Ambassador to Nepal, Hanan Goder. During the meeting, Saud expressed deep concern about the current situation in Israel stating Nepal condemned the attack by Hamas. He also inquired about potential measures Nepal could take to evacuate its citizens from the affected region.

Ambassador Goder assured that the Israeli government would exert every possible effort to safeguard the Nepali citizens, provide necessary medical treatment, and facilitate the rescue of the injured.

Furthermore, he expressed gratitude to the Nepali government for their heartfelt sympathy and support during Israel’s challenging times.
