Two people died after a collision between a car and truck on the east-west highway in Shivasatakshi municipality in Jhapa.
The truck (Province 1-02-001 Ka 3879) coming from the west hit a car (Province 1-01-00 Cha 7482). The deceased have been identified as Guruchan Chaudhary and his daughter Kumkum Chaudhary.
The two were critically injured and were taken to B&C Hospital in Birtamod for treatment where they breathed their last.
Five others were injured in the accident and are being treated at B&C Hospital.
