Butwal, April 14
A man, who was on his way to celebrate New Year, has died after drowning in a pond in Tinau rural municipality in Palpa.
Shivam Jaiswal, from Siddharthnagar, who had gone for a walk with his friends from Bhairahawa, slipped on a rock and fell into the pond and drowned.
Jaiswal was rushed to Lumbini Zonal Hospital for treatment where he was pronounced dead.
Some time ago, another young man who went for a walk in the area also drowned.
Birendra Thapa, the information officer of District Police Office Palpa, informed that further investigation has been started regarding the incident.
