Chitwan, December 18
A wild elephant killed a woman in Bharatpur metropolitan city in Chitwan on Saturday.
Bhagirathi Subedi, 70, died when an elephant attacked her while she was sitting by a fire in her front yard.
Subedi, who was critically injured, was rushed to Bharatpur Hospital but she succumbed to her injuries and was announced dead at 10 pm on Saturday night, informed District Police Chitwan’s spokesperson Bijaya Raj Pandit.
Her body is currently at Bharatpur Hospital for postmortem.
