A woman died after being hit by a pick-up truck in Kohalpur in Banke on Saturday night.
Usha Gurung, a resident of Kohalpur municipality-11, died when she was hit by a pick-up truck (Ba 1 Nya 2438) which was going to Kohalpur from Nepalgunj, said DSP Ain Bahadur Malla, Chief of Police, District Police Office, Kohalpur.
According to Malla, Gurung died on the spot. The hit-and-run van was taken into custody by the police last night.
Malla said the pick-up trick that killed Gurung belonged to Nepal Electricity Authority, Kohalpur.
