Janakpurdham, December 25
Two persons have been shot dead in different districts of the Madhesh province in the past two days.
Whereas one person was shot dead in the Mahagadhimai municipality of Bara on Friday, another similar incident was reported from Mukhiyapatti Musaharniya of Dhanusha on Saturday evening.
DSP Pradeep Bahadur Chhetri of the Dhanusha District Police Office says Dhanuk Das sustained serious injuries in the attack in Mukhiyiapatti Musaharniya-3 of Dhanusha yesterday evening. He was rushed to the Janakpur Provincial Hospital for treatment, but the doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
Meanwhile, an Indian citizen, Shiva Pujan Prasad Yadav, a resident of India, was attacked in Mahagadhimai-2 on Friday evening. He was also rushed to the LS Neuro Hospital, where he died during treatment.
Concerned district police offices in the Madhesh province are looking into the cases.
