Pyuthan, November 9
Three persons died and 12 others sustained injuries in a road accident in the Pyuthan district of Lumbini in the wee hours of Wednesday.
A Force SUV (Lu 1 Ja 3707) heading towards Purnagaun from Bijuwar of the district fell off the road from a turning in Pyuthan municipality-1 at around 1 am today, according to police.
In the accident, three persons–Khuman Thapa and his wife Junaki and Mahima Gharti, all residents of Patalkotari, ward 5 of the municipality–died on the spot.
Meanwhile, six critically injured passengers have been referred to Butwal for further treatment whereas the rest have been admitted to Bijuwar Hospital in the district.
The vehicle fell off around 150 metres down the district.
