Suzuki Avenis has been officially launched in Nepal. This is the third scooter from Suzuki in the 125cc segment with Suzuki Access 125 and Burgman already in the market. This also indicates the increase in popularity of the 125cc scooters in Nepal.
Suzuki Avenis is a sporty-looking scooter. While Burgman too offered sporty styling, it was bulky. The upgraded design of the Avenis makes it look more sleek and stylish than the other Suzuki scooters available here. Designwise, there are so many changes on this scooter, which can make it one of the best-looking scooters in the packed 125cc segment. However, the path is not so easy for Suzuki Avenis as it has to compete against Honda Grazia, Vespa, Aprilia, Yamaha Fascino and TVS Ntorq.
Let’s get into the details of Suzuki Avenis.

Design
The new Suzuki Avenis takes styling inspiration from other urban scooters in the market. The front of the scooter has a body-mounted LED headlamp. The new handlebar integrated indicators are definitely an attractive addition to the scooter. Adding a sporty look is a sporty meter visor, which gives an extra touch to the overall design of the scooter. From the side view, the sporty graphics of the scooter can be seen. The long floorboard on the scooter makes enough space for the riders to rest their foot comfortably and even carry some luggage. The scooter offers dual luggage hooks so that the luggage stays on the floorboard even during sharp turns.
There is also a small rack on the scooter where the riders can keep up to 1L or 0.5 kg weighing items. On the other side, there is a USB socket installed for charging phones and other devices. An intelligent feature of the scooter is its side-stand interlock. This feature prevents the scooter from starting when the stand is in use. This is a handy feature as people tend to forget about the stands, and it might lead to fatal injuries. The scooter also has a 21.82L under-seat storage.
The scooter has sporty aesthetics on the back as well. The sporty muffler on the scooter is accompanied by LED tail lamps and a sporty split grab rail. Suzuki Avenis has an external fuel cap, which is definitely more convenient than the ones under the seat.
The scooter has a length of 195mm, 710mm width, 780mm seat height, wheelbase of 1265mm and a ground clearance of 160mm. Suzuki Avenis is available in green, orange and black colour options.
Performance
Suzuki Avenis has the same 124cc BS6-compliant engine seen on Suzuki Burgman and Access 125, generating the same powertrain figures. The single-cylinder four-stroke air-cooled engine can generate a maximum power of 8.7PS @6750 rpm and achieve a maximum torque of 10.0Nm @ 5500rpm.
The scooter has a fuel capacity of 5.2 litres. With the same engine and identical output figures, the mileage of the scooter also can be expected in a similar range. Similarly, the estimated top speed of the scooter is 90kmph.
Safety and other features
Suzuki Avenis has the combi braking system with a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear end. For the suspension, there is a telescopic fork at the front and a swing arm at the back. The scooter is equipped with tubeless tyres and has tyre sizes of 90/90-12 at the front and 90/100-10 at the back.
The notable features of Suzuki Avenis are:
- Sporty looks and graphics
- Body mount LED lamps
- Side-stand interlock
- Handlebar integrated indicators
- Split grab rail
- Alloy wheels
- Spacious floorboard
- Dual luggage hooks
- USB socket rack
- Large under-seat storage
Suzuki Avenis is the most expensive scooter in the Suzuki lineup at the moment. The price of the Suzuki Avenis is Rs 299,900.
This is also the most expensive scooter from Suzuki in Nepal. The scooter definitely comes with a new aggressive sporty design but when it comes to performance, it offers nothing more than already released Suzuki scooters available on the market. Also, the model launched in Nepal does not have a smart Bluetooth connectivity feature. In terms of performance and power, there are better alternatives on the market and they are available at a cheaper price than Avenis.
Summing up, Suzuki Avenis is the same scooter that was already available with a new pair of outfit. The sporty branding is limited to its graphics only and if someone is really looking for a sporty experience then, there are certainly better alternatives on the market.
