British institution launches vocational training centre in Nepal

Kathmandu, July 15

City & Guilds South Asia Private Limited, a vocational training initiative from City & Guilds, London, launched its first Institute in Nepal.

The courses will be offered by XCEL International Education and the Institute will be run in collaboration with The British College.

The managing director of the XCEL Education Institute, Mahendra Raj Kandel, says, “We are aiming to bridge the gap between the current market scenario and the industry’s needs for trained skilled employees.”

The new centre will initially offer courses related to hospitality, with the aim of opening up excellent employment opportunities for all age groups in Nepal. This flexible qualification has both full-time and part-time options and offers opportunities for various levels.
