Public transport fare goes up up by up to 7.7%

Kathmandu, June 20

The government has increased the fare of public transportation. This comes after Nepal Oil Corporation increased the price of petroleum products on Sunday.

Fare for public transport has increased by 5.30 per cent while the fare for freight transport plying on hills and the terai has increased by 6.94 per cent and 7.7 per cent respectively.

Fare for both public transport and freight rates for cargo is directly proportional to the price of petroleum products.
