Sarlahi bus accident kills 4, hurt 35+

Four persons died whereas over 35 others sustained injuries as a public bus skidded off a bridge in the Sarlahi district of southern Nepal on Sunday.

The number of casualties may rise as some of the injured are in critical conditions. They are undergoing treatment in different health facilities of the district.

DSP Madhav Prasad Budhathoki, the spokesperson of the Sarlahi District Police Office, says the bus (Na 4 Kha 8555) heading towards Janakpurdham from Birgunj fell off the Phuljor bridge in Lalbandi of the district along the East-West Highway.

The victims are yet to be identified and further investigation is underway.
