Pokhara school bus hills scooter rider to death

Pokhara, March 24

A scooter rider has died after being hit by a school bus in Pokhara, the capital city of the Gandaki province, on Thursday morning.

The victim has been identified as Kismat Wagle (19), a resident of Chauthe, Pokhara-14.

DSP Sundar Tiwari, the spokesperson of the Kaski District Police Office, says Wagle’s scooter (ga 22 Pa 007) hit a pedestrian woman first and went in front of the bus (Ga 1 Ka 996) belonging to the Golden Future Boarding School in Rambajar, Pokhara-15.

As the bus hit him head-on, Wagle got injured critically. He was rushed to the Paschimanchal Regional Hospital, where the doctors declared him dead.

DSP Tiwari says the pedestrian, Tek Maya Gharti (32), hit by the scooter is undergoing treatment at the Lekhnath City Hospital, Sisuwa.
