Huawei Watch GT 3’s 46mm has three editions. The active edition features a black strap, classic edition with leather strap and elite edition with steel strap.

Huawei Watch GT 3 has a 1.43-inch AMOLED colour screen display in 46mm and a 1.32-inch AMOLED colour screen on a 42mm variant with both having a resolution of 466*466 pixels with 326ppi. The watch also features a 3D curved glass that provides a more elegant look. The display on the watch supports slide and touch gestures. The watch is said to have better responded to the swipes.

The watch is also bright and there should be no problem for daytime use as well. There are also more than 100 watch faces to choose from, but there is no mention of the customisation option. There is also no mention of the glass protection on the watch but is certified with a 5 ATM water resistance grade.

Health and fitness tracking

Huawei Watch GT 3 has prioritised health and fitness tracking. There are more than 100 goal-based exercising options like running, cycling, hiking, swimming, jumping rope and skiing on the watch. The watch also lets the user set goals for individual exercise and will remind the users about their set goals. The watch offers tracking and recording of many outdoor and indoor activities.

Huawei Watch GT 3 features 24-hour accurate heart rate monitoring. The newly upgraded heart rate module on the watch includes eight photodiodes in a circular layout and two sets of light source that is said to significantly reduce external interference that filters out noisy signals more effectively, allowing accurate heart rate monitoring even during strenuous exercise, and improving the accuracy of health data such as blood oxygen.

Huawei Watch GT 3 also monitors SPO2 levels. Sleep tracking and step and calorie counting are also possible on the watch. The sleep tracking here is said to be more precise all thanks to the advanced truesleep 2.0 algorithm on the watch. Other notable health feature on the watch includes forming a sleep routine, regulating breathing, monitoring stress level and menstrual cycle.

All the fitness and exercise records are synced and can be viewed on the Huawei Health app. The app allows having a broader view of the health records.

Performance, battery life and connectivity

Huawei Watch GT 3 runs Huawei HarmonyOS 2.1. The watch is compatible with devices having HarmonyOS 2 or later, Android 6.0 or later and iOS 9.0 or later.

Talking about the battery life, the 46mm variant comes equipped with a 455mAh battery while the 42mm variant has a 292mAh battery. The 46mm variant is said to provide a battery life of up to 14 days while the 42mm provides seven days of battery life. Both models support wireless charging and even reverse charging with some selected devices. The watch takes around three hours to get fully charged.

Huawei Watch GT 3 also features Celia, a built-in voice assistant (compatible with only Huawei devices), a speaker, a microphone, Bluetooth 5.1 and GPs for wireless connectivity. The watch also supports five satellite systems offering stronger anti-interference performance, hence effectively improving the strength and stability of outdoor positioning signals.

Huawei Watch GT 3 also offers some exciting features on the board. The watch allows the user to make or receive calls. There is no dialling option, but the watch allows to add 10 favourite people there itself, allowing the users to call them without dialling. It also shows notifications and allows to reply to them. The reply, however, is limited to emojis or the onboard short messages only. The user does have the access to customise the short messages.

The watch tells the time of sunrise and sunset every day. It also informs about the tidal changes in real-time. The in-built altitude barometer on the watch monitors the air pressure in real-time and alerts the user in case of drastic changes before the onset of extreme weather conditions.
