Kathmandu, March 13
The impeachment motion filed at the Federal Parliament Secretariat demanding the removal of Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Rana has been tabled in the House of Representatives meeting on Sunday.
On behalf of the proposers, CPN-Maoist Centre chief whip Dev Gurung tabled the proposal.
Following the tabling, Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota announced the house meeting, called for this Wednesday afternoon, would begin a formal discussion on the proposal.
Earlier, on March 6, the house had formed an impeachment recommendation committee to study the motion.
On February 11, lawmakers of the ruling alliance had filed the impeachment motion at the Federal Parliament Secretariat demanding the removal of CJ Rana.
