Design
Designwise, Suzuki Burgman Street 125 BS6 does not get any major upgrades from its predecessor. It has a bulky front, which is one of its kind that features an LED headlight and daytime running light (DRL); the Suzuki branding is done in between. The sidelights on the scooter are sharp and angular. The scooter also features a body mount windshield on the top and a digital console that previews the speed, trip, fuel gauze, km covered and time.
The scooter also provides decent footrest space for the rider. The seat is broad which makes it comfortable for not only the rider but for the pillion rider as well. The full grab rail on the scooter adds further convenience for the pillion riders. The scooter also provides two cubby holes and the rider can easily fit their handset on either one of them.
Suzuki Burgman Street 125 BS6 measures 1,880mm in length, 715mm in width, has an 1140mm height, 1,265mm wheelbase and a seat height of 780mm. The scooter also has a respectable ground clearance of 160mm. Though the scooter looks bulky, it is a lightweight scooter weighing only 110kg. With a 12-inch tubeless tyre on the front, it surprisingly has a small 10-inch tyre on the rear end. The tyre looks rather awkward with the huge body it offers.
Performance
Suzuki Burgman Street 125 BS6 features a new 125cc FI engine. The engine can be ignited with both kick and electric starts. The new air-cooled BS6 engine can generate a maximum power of 8.7PS @ 6750rpm and can achieve a maximum torque of 10.0Nm@5500rpm. This is of course a loss of power compared to the BS4 version.
With a fuel storage capacity of 5.5L, the scooter should provide a respectable mileage of above 40 km per litre and can achieve a top speed of up to 95kmph. The scooter will provide higher mileage on the highway. It also comes with a new integrated engine start and kill switch with the Suzuki Easy Start system, allowing ease and more control to the rider.
Safety and other features
Suzuki Burgman Street 125 BS6 has a combined braking system with a disc brake at the front and a drum at the rear ends. This braking system ensures the brake will act on the front and rear wheels together every time the rider applies the brakes. For the suspension, it features a telescopic fork at the front and a swing arm at the rear.

The price of the scooter can really be tricky for the users as there are multiple options the user can go for and there are very few people who will be intrigued by the bulky design of the scooter. Though the scooter offers a respectable power figure, other scooters like N-torque offer more power and provide modern features that Suzuki fails to offer. The bulky design also prevents the scooter to go through traffic smoothly.
Suzuki Burgman Street 125 provides reliability though. Suzuki has always been a reliable brand. Its two-wheelers have always fared well in Nepal. So, in the end, it really comes to an individual’s preference as the scooters in this price segment goes back and forth when compared to each other.
