Sarlahi road accidents kill 2

Janakpurdham, December 26

Two persons have died and one sustained injuries in two road accidents in the Sarlahi district on Saturday.

One person died and another one got injured when a yet-to-be-identified four-wheeler hit a motorbike (Na 34 Pa 7021) inside the Banke forest area in Ishwarpur municipality-12 along the East-West Highway at around 10 pm on Saturday, according to police.

The deceased is the motorbike’s pillion-rider Bhim Gurung, a resident of Lalbandi municipality-3 of the district whereas the injured is the biker Jitan Chaudhary, a resident of the same place. He is undergoing treatment at a health facility in Lalbandi.

In another incident, another person died when a bicycle hit a pedestrian in Laxmipur, Haripur municipality-6 of the district along the Nawalpur-Malangawa road section. The victim is Saiful Khatun (55), a local resident.

Khatun was hit by the bicycle when she was crossing the road, informs DSP Madhav Prasad Budhathoki, the District Police Office spokesperson.
