Kathmandu, July 27
The ruling Nepali Congress party claims it has doubled the size of its active membership across the country since it last held its general convention in March 2016.
The party’s active membership calculation committee formed in the run-up to the 14th general convention made public its report on Tuesday, according to which the party has 852,711 active members across the country.
In 2016, the number was around 470,000.
Here are details of the party’s current membership size as revealed in the report submitted to the party president Sher Bahadur Deuba today:
