Nawalpur: Man kills 5-month-old in his fight with her father

Nawalpur, July 25

A five-month-old girl died in her father’s fight with his nephew in Mirtung, Devchuli-6 of the Nawalpur (Nawalparasi East) district on Friday.

The District Police Office spokesperson Dilip Kumar Giri says Padam Bahadur Barhaghare had a fight with his nephew Karna Bahadur Saru on Friday. As Saru was drunk during the fight, he threw away Barhaghare’s infant daughter, asleep, and tossed her on the ground.

Seriously injured in the incident, the child breathed her last while undergoing treatment at the Primary Health Centre at Dumkauli on Saturday, informs Giri.

Saru has been arrested. Police are preparing to file a murder case against him.
