Morang: Teen killed by his friends over a football match

A 17-year-old boy has been killed by his own friends in Urlabari of Morang in eastern Nepal on Monday, reportedly due to a dispute over a football match one day ago.

Abhishek Chaudhary, a resident of Rajghat, Urlabari municipality-8 of the district, was fatally stabbed by a gang of six to seven people on Monday afternoon, informs DSP Deepak Shrestha of the District Police Office. Seriously injured in the incident, he was taken to the B&C Hospital in Birtamod of the neighbouring Jhapa district, where doctors declared him dead.

Meanwhile, Sushan Dhami (21) sustained injuries in the incident and he is undergoing treatment at the local Araniko Hospital.

Police say they have arrested two persons on the murder charge while a manhunt has been launched to nab other suspects.

Further investigation is underway.
