Nepal Covid-19 tally: 3,702 PCR and 667 antigen cases in 24 hours, death toll up by 116

Kathmandu, May 30

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 557,124 as of Sunday afternoon.

The ministry says 4,311 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 10,986 swab samples were tested. So far, 3 million and 42,369 people have been tested in the country.

Likewise, 3,702 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 667 tested positive.

As of today, there are 108,897 active cases across the country. Of them, 7,563 are hospitalised, 1,545 in intensive care units, and 407 on ventilators.

In the past 24 hours, 6,205 people have achieved recovery whereas 109 deaths have been reported. Nepal’s recovery rate is 79.2 per cent.

Of the total cases so far, 440,955 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 7,272 died, according to the ministry.

Over 800 are quarantined across the country.
