Dahal files appeal to review verdict that revived UML, Maoist Centre

Kathmandu, March 30

The CPN-Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has filed an appeal at the Supreme Court demanding the court review its previous verdict that rejected the 2018 unification of the party with the CPN-UML into the Nepal Communist Party, by reviving the old constituents.

Dahal, accompanied by the party’s other leaders, went to the court today and registered the appeal. Earlier last week, his party had decided to seek a revision from the court.

Speaking with journalists after filing the appeal, Dahal said he was hopeful that the court would revise and quash the verdict.

The party has been arguing that the decision was wrong as the bench ordered something that was not even demanded by the petitioner.
