Nepal vaccinates 1.4% of the population against Covid-19

Kathmandu, February 24

The government says it has been successful in vaccinating 1.4 per cent of the country’s total estimated population against Covid-19 by giving Covishield jabs to the first-priority target group.

From January 27 till now, 429,705 people were vaccinated and it was 1.4 per cent of the Central Bureau of Statistics’ projected population of the country (30 million and 378,055), according to the government.

The Department of Health Services under the Ministry of Health made public the data of vaccinated people so far on Wednesday.

According to the data, 85.65 per cent of the first-priority group have been vaccinated so far.
