Covid-19 vaccination begins in Nepal with thousands of health workers vaccinated

Kathmandu, January 27

Nepal has officially opened the nationwide Vivid-19 vaccination drive on Wednesday, by vaccinating around 12,000 doctors across the country.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Health Minister Hridayesh Tripathi inaugurated the campaign in a televised event in Kathmandu. At the same time, government hospitals across the country vaccinated frontline doctors and frontline workers on the field.

Speaking in the function, Minister Tripathi said around 12,000 people would be given the vaccine today itself.
