2 killed in Kathmandu truck accident

Kathmandu, January 27

Two persons have died in a truck accident in Dakshinkali on the southern outskirts of Kathmandu on Tuesday night.

The victims have been identified as Mohan Lal Rumba (31), a resident of Makawanpur district, and Gom Bahadur Budha (28), a resident of Achham district. Rumba was behind the wheel when the accident occurred. Likewise, Budha would work as his assistant.

Seriously injured in the accident, both died while undergoing treatment at the National Trauma Centre in Kathmandu.

The truck (Ba 3 Kha 6199) heading towards Pharping from Thahakhel had fallen off around 50 metres down the road at Hanumane at around 8:30 pm yesterday.
