Two persons have died when a tipper hit them in Gurjudhara, Chandragiri municipality-12 of Kathmandu, on Wednesday evening.
The victims have been identified as Abhaya Lama (27), a resident of Galchhi in Dhading, and Subhas Gamal (25), a resident of Chitwan.
Inspector Khem Raj Raut of the Metropolitan Police Sector in Balambu says the tipper (Ba 4 Kha 2577) hit the pedestrians while they were crossing the road at around 10 pm. Both died on the spot.
It has been learned that they were returning after attending a party.
Police have confiscated the tipper and arrested the driver, Ram Chandra Thapa, for further investigation.
