Nepal Covid-19 tally: 1,573 new cases, 885 recoveries, 10 deaths in 24 hours

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 73,394 as of Sunday afternoon.

The ministry says 1,573 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 10,123 swab samples were tested. So far, 988,327 people have been tested in the country.

Of the total cases so far, 53,898 people have achieved recovery whereas 477 died, according to the ministry. In the past 24 hours, 885 people have been discharged whereas 10 deaths have been reported. Nepal’s current recovery rate is around 73.4 per cent.

The other 19,019 cases are active currently. Of them, 10,698 are in home isolation and 8,321 hospitalised.

The disease has spread across all 77 districts of the country. Of them, Morang, Siraha, Lalitpur, Kathmandu, Chitwan, Bhaktapur, and Rupandehi have more than 500 active cases each. Manang, Mustang, Dolpa, Mugu, and Humla do not have any active cases.

Over 6,200 people are quarantined across the country, waiting to be tested.
