Kathmandu, September 30
A former prime minister and People’s Socialist Party’s senior leader Baburam Bhattarai volunteered to feed people affected by the Covid-19 crisis at Khulamanch of the capital on Wednesday morning.
Recently, various people and groups have been distributing food every day to the people who have been rendered jobless due to the crisis.
Bhattarai served rice, lentil soup and vegetable curry on his own for around 20 minutes and also talked to people coming for food there.
Bimal Panta, the chairperson of Hamro Team Nepal, which has been distributing food there for the past six months there, says Bhattarai joined hands to his organisation to inspire the team. He says the state should also do the same.
