Bhaktapur’s asymptomatic Covid-19 patient dies in home isolation

Kathmandu, August 30

A Covid-19 patient has died in Bhaktapur on Sunday. It has been learned that he did not have any symptoms of the infection.

The 65-year-old man, however, was suffering from hypertension and diabetes. He was unable to eat food on his own, hence the family had requested officials to isolate him at home in Dudhpati, Bhaktapur municipality-1, after the confirmation of infection on Friday, the district’s Public Health Officer Krishna Bahadur Mijar says.

“We had asked the family to inform us if there was any problem so that we could take him to a hospital,” Mijar says, “But, they informed the health section of the municipality only after the death.”
