Nepal Covid-19 tally: 210 new cases, 146 discharged in 24 hours

Kathmandu, July 29

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 19,273 as of Wednesday afternoon.

In his daily press briefing in Kathmandu, the ministry’s spokesperson Jageshwor Gautam said 210 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours. In this period, 6,037 swab samples were tested.

Of the total cases so far, 14,021 people have achieved recovery whereas 49 died, according to him. In the past 24 hours, 146 people have been discharged whereas no death was recorded during this time.

Nepal’s current recovery rate is around 72.8 per cent.

The other 5,203 cases are active currently.

The disease has spread across all 77 districts of the country. Of them, Rautahat, and Kailali have more than 500 active cases each. Bhojpur, Sankhuwasabha, Rasuwa, Mustang, and Manang do not have any active case.

Over 14,471 people are quarantined across the country, waiting to be tested.
