The Rautahat District Administration Office has quarantined 24 Nepalis who recently returned from other countries in its bid to control the spread of coronavirus infection in the district.

Most of them had recently returned from neighbouring India, according to Chief District Officer Basu Dev Ghimire. “They are not infected persons. They had recently returned from their work abroad and we have kept them separated,” Ghimire says, “No significant problem has been seen in their health. All are normal.”

Sixteen have been kept at Gaur Nursing Institute whereas eight are at Chandranigahapur Hospital.

Meanwhile, all local governments in the district are preparing their own quarantine sites in case people are suspected of infection. In total, they can serve up to 500 people, according to the DAO.
