Ramechhap authority quarantines 54 who returned from other countries

Health officials in Ramechhap district say they have quarantined 54 persons who recently returned home from various countries in their bid to protect locals of the district from the novel coronavirus infection.

Jitendra Kumar Karna, the chief of the District Health Office, says seven people have been quarantined in Gokulganga rural municipality, 10 in Doramba, six in Manthali municipality, 17 in Ramechhap municipality, 10 in Khandadevi and four in Likhu Tamakoshi.

He says all eight local governments in the district have established isolation centres and community quarantine sites. In total, 45 isolation centres and the quarantine sites with a total capacity of 167 persons have been established.
