Kathmandu police confiscate 302 vehicles for defying lockdown order

Kathmandu, March 25

Traffic police in Kathmandu confiscated 302 vehicles in the valley on Wednesday morning on the charge of operating defying the lockdown order.

From midnight till 8 am this morning, the personnel deployed from the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division confiscated the vehicles from different places of the capital, according to SP Jeevan Shrestha. The Kalimati area has recorded the highest number of confiscated vehicles (33).

Though the police had taken some vehicles under control yesterday also, they were released shortly. However, the vehicles confiscated on the second day will not be released anytime soon, according to the division’s chief SSP Bhim Prasad Dhakal.
