Kathmandu, February 28
The general secretary of CPN-ML and former deputy prime minister CP Mainali, who survived ‘critical injuries’ during a road accident in Bardibas of Mahottari district on Thursday afternoon, is out of danger now.
Grande International Hospital in Kathmandu says on Friday morning that Mainali underwent a thigh bone surgery on Thursday itself, hence he is out of danger now. “His daughter-in-law is also undergoing treatment here,” the hospital’s director Chakra Raj Pandey says.
A Nepal Army helicopter had airlifted them to Kathmandu for further treatment yesterday.
The leader’s son Saroj, daughter-in-law Puja, grandson En and driver Ram Prasad Paudel were also injured in the accident.
