NCP secretariat to prepare for central committee meeting

The ruling Nepal Communist Party has called a secretariat meeting for Tuesday afternoon to prepare for the central committee meeting scheduled to begin Wednesday.

It has been learned that the secretariat will endorse the political report to be presented by the two chairpersons and the organisational plan to be presented by the general secretary Bishnu Paudel. Both the documents will be sent to the central committee for discussion.

Meanwhile, the two chairmen are preparing to present themselves in a unified fashion in the central committee. Oli will address the meeting in the beginning whereas Dahal will table the political report.

The central committee meeting is expected to last as long as one week.

The meeting is likely to appoint former deputy speaker Shiva Maya Tumbahamphe as a central committee member. Meanwhile, newly elected speaker Agni Sapkota is resigning from the party responsibility soon.
