Kathmandu, January 26

After media reported that she hid in the United States after arriving there for an event, Danta Nepali ‘Darshana’, the deputy mayor of Tilagupha municipality in Kalikot district, has claimed that the reports are wrong. She says he is not hiding, but she prolonged the trip after she fell ill and she is receiving treatment there.

Nepali, however, has not clarified what disease she is suffering from. “I cannot speak well, but can move with difficulty,” she, however, stated, “India’s Dr. Anjir Kumar is looking after me. It takes me around five months more to recover.”

On a Facebook post on Sunday, Nepali instead claimed she tried to contact her mayor Ratan Shahi, but he did not pick up the calls. Shahi had told media about her ‘disappearance’ last week.

Reactivating the Facebook account deactivated for months, Nepali said, “Please do not add fuel to the fire. I am well aware of my responsibility.”
