Former secretary Shanta Bahadur Shrestha passed away on Thursday morning. He was in the early 60s.
Family sources inform that Shrestha breathed his last at around 5:30 am today during treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital. He was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday. The former bureaucrat was diagnosed with pneumonia.
Shrestha was born in Ramkot of Palpa district in western Nepal. He had joined the civil service as a section officer in the early 19990s and retired just a few years back.
