Kathmandu, November 22
The schedule for the men’s football games under the South Asian Games to be held in Nepal next month has been published on Friday. As per the schedule, Nepal and India, the two arch-rivals of South Asian football, have been drawn in different groups.
Nepal are in Group A along with Bhutan and Bangladesh. Likewise, India are in Group B, which also includes the Maldives and Sri Lanka. Pakistan will not participate in football.
In the 12th edition of the regional sports event, Nepal had defeated India to win the gold medal in men’s football.
The first match will be held between Nepal and Bangladesh.
Nepal is hosting the 13th SAG from December 1 to 12.
